If the goal of Women of Doom was to highlight and celebrate the impact of female artists on heavy music, did you feel like you were making a statement by being part of it? ”Marrow“ is about recognizing that you have everything inside you to take care of yourself and saying thank you for everything you do. How vast the guilt that thus could doom a world So beautiful as ours was ere man. I really wanted this to have an empowerment theme and message to it. We wrote this song specifically for Women of Doom while we were recording '1692’ (2020). How did you come to choose or write this particular song for the Women of Doom project, especially when you must have been working on your album at the same time? Speaking of which, Doomed & Stoned reached out for comment to Frayle frontwoman Gwyn Strang, asking about her contribution to this stellar compilation: “Marrow” establishes a sure and steady march-like beat, with darkly angelic singing luring us to wherever on heaven, earth, or the underworld this siren song is beckoning. It may also be my most treasured track from the FRAYLE discography. Most of the enemies in the games are Demons from Hell otherwise they are possessed, undead humans. Most of these enemies also make appearances in Doom 64 and Doom RPG. This may be my personal favorite of the lot, too – but perhaps I’m a little biased having had Frayle recently perform at Chicago Doomed & Stoned Fest and Ohio Doomed & Stoned Fest just a few months back.
